Abstract

This article presents a 45-year old patient who had a serious car accident in 2001. She has been suffering from speech disorders caused by post-traumatic aphasia. We have been able to observe the development of this aphasia – from symptoms of transcortical sensory aphasia (TSA) to amnestic aphasia with alexia without agraphia. The patience and cooperation with the speech therapist has significantly improved the patien’s ability of verbal communication.
