Abstract

The objective of this study was determining the influence of selected nutrients on satiety. Satiety and methods of satiety measurement were defined.

The study showed the influence of the selected nutrients on the level of satiety. Characterized the role of protein in short-term and long-term effect on satiety. The article focuses on functions is fiber and its various fractions. The amount of dietary fiber in the products in the highest degree determines properties of satiety in food. The role of fats and carbohydrates in increasing the power of satiety was described in this article. They showed man problems in methodology and interpretation of results of available examinations.

The awareness of satiating properties of each food product may help in diet composition and body weight control. Nutrients Satiety Index tables may serve people fighting obesity and failing to follow a strict diet in the future.
