Abstract

The study of road users’ attitudes and behaviours proves, that the knowledge level of Road Safety is insufficient. Education seems to be a very important way to prevent the increasing number of road accidents. A special group, which causes most of road accidents in Poland, is young people between 18 and 25 years old.

The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge level of Road Safety in a chosen student groups. 100 medical students answered the questionnaire and there was confirmation of the insufficient knowledge level. Young road users didn’t know about main causes of road accidents or about road safety programs either.
