Abstract

The article presents the achievements of Polish 19th century doctors: Napoleon Cybulski, Adolf Beck, Joseph Brudzinski, Edmund Biernacki in the area of neurology. What all these scientists have in common is a period when they made their discoveries, their patriotic attitude towards Poland, and above all the fact that the results of their research did not expire, just the opposite – they still remain basic in neurology and are practically used.
