Postawy studentów kierunku Fizjoterapii wobec aktywności fizycznej

Abstract

Physical activity is becoming one of the main factors responsible for maintaining health and effective dealing with professional duties and daily activities. Students’ physical activity as well as their opinions and lifestyle prove that the system of physical educaltion is effective at all levels of education.

The aim of the study was to analyse students’ attitudes to physical activity, an important aspect of lifestyle. The study was conducted using the method of a diagnostic survey based on a questionnaire. Full-time and extramural physiotherapy students of the first year participated in this research. The study group comprised 30 females and 16 males. 90% of respondents are physically active in their free time and they choose outdoor, recreational as well as organised sports forms. According to the majority of students, physical activity promotes better fitness, improves mood and health condition. 78% of students also stated that high fitness level is significant in the profession of a physiotherapist. The curriculum material taught in the first year of studies promotes completing tasks focused on health improvement.
